AIDS
Prevention Society (APS), is a regional
level Non Government Organisation (NGO)
& an AIDS Service Organisation ( ASO)
of North East India based in Guwahati,
in the state of Assam in India. AIDS Prevention
Society has been involved in a number
of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Control & Management
Projects in this part of the country since
its inception .

Established
in 1990, this civil society organisation
, which is a registered society has implemented
several integrated health management projects
which are carried on either individually
or in collaboration with other NGOs. The
Organisation has been successfully implementing
a number of intervention projects in the
region with the support of various agencies
and networking partners for slowing down
the epidemic of HIV/AIDS in the region
& in providing care & support to those
already infected.

As
a regional level NGO , the society is
committed to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS
& STDs and improve the overall health
status of the people in the region .
